I am an artist with a passion for birds in general and gulls in particular, ever since I read my first bird book back in kindergarten. I was born in The Gambia in 1976 but have lived in southernmost Sweden most of my life. Besides having had a number of exhibitions in Sweden I have illustrated three major volumes on Terns, Skuas & Jaegers and Gulls (with Klaus Malling Olsen). In 2021 the monumental Seabirds, The New Identification Guide (with Peter Harrison & Martin Perrow) was published after more than a decade of meticulous work. This volume features more than 90 of my plates, depicting Gulls, Terns, Skuas and Seaducks. In 2015 I had the honour to paint illustrations for an information sign placed near The Royal Palace in the Swedish capital, Stockholm. In 2025, my painting "Wandering Albatross" was elected for the prestigous exhibition Birds in Art held at Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum, Wausau WI and it was also aquired by the museum for it's permanent collection.
